In the second film, a son gives a present to his mother, whose closely shaven head indicates that she may be undergoing treatment for cancer. When she unwraps the gift, it’s a hair dryer. After a moment’s hesitation, she grins. Because one day soon she’ll be well again. If you find the right gift, it can say everything for you.
