História In collaboration with one of Sweden’s largest housing companies the leading women’s shelter is now launching the initiative “No More Excuses”, where a message of support is being placed on a many times desperate excuse. Each year over 69 600 cases of partner violence take place in Sweden. Only 17 400 of these are reported. This means there are more than 52 000 occasions when excuses for partner violence are accepted, which in turn results in the deaths of 13 women per year. “No More Excuses” is an initiative that exposes the excuses that are made every day for many partner violence victims and their relatives.
Filosofia The objective was to bridge the gap, break through the stigma, protect the abused and raise funds to expand the capacity of the women’s shelter and emergency hot line.
Problema The brief was to build awareness and bridge the information gap between the shelter support and the abused. Reaching out, breaking the stigma and offering a way out. In addition the mission was to engage the bystander, to respond, break the silence and step in to help in a situation where desperation often paralyze persons being repeatedly assaulted.
