Amir Bar-Lev is the acclaimed documentary director of Happy Valley (2014), 12.12.12 (2013),
Re:Generation (2011), The Tillman Story (2010), and My Kid Could Paint That (2007), which have collectively garnered him some of the film industry’s highest honors and widespread critical praise. He also served as co-producer on the 2009 Academy Award Nominated Documentary Trouble the Water.


Bar-Lev's branded film Re:Generation, featuring collaborations by artists such as Erykah Badu, Mos Def, Skrillex, and Mark Ronson, was awarded a Bronze Lion at Cannes.
His film 12.12.12, with Executive Producer Paul McCartney, documents the Hurricane Sandy relief concert featuring performances by The Rolling Stones, The Who, Roger Waters, and Bruce Springsteen, among many others. The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and was released by The Weinstein Company in Fall 2013.


Bar-Lev's latest, Happy Valley, is a feature documentary exploring the identity crisis of State College in the wake of the Penn State Scandal, for A&E Indie Films. It premiered at Sundance in 2014.
Amir’s firm grasp on popular culture, coupled with his synthesis of heightened reality and documentary storytelling makes him a compelling commercial director. Bar-Lev has done multiple commercial pieces for 72andSunny and their ever-popular client, Call of Duty, and multiple Mastercard campaigns for McCann Erickson.
