Brief | Space Descent with Tim Peake, a two-year educational programme, created in partnership with Samsung and the Science Museum Group. Its aim: to inspire UK students from disadvantaged backgrounds, around the possibilities of STEM learning and the science and technology behind space travel.We remodelled a double decker bus to replicate the ISS and used Samsung technology to enable a variety of educational experiences, including a face and body mapping augmented reality spacewalk. Ultimately, the tour aims to address a national occupational shortage in STEM areas, by inspiring a new generation of scientists, engineers and astronauts from lower income backgrounds. |
