Someplace Nice Directors

Despite graduating from high school with a 52 average, Pete managed to charm his way into Ryerson University in Toronto, where he would study film. It was at Ryerson where he would learn cinematography, screenwriting, editing, sound, and really get the opportunity to uncover the real Pete Henderson. The real Pete Henderson, it turns out, became a prolific and revered director. Pete has won numerous Canadian music video awards for bands like The Tragically Hip, Barenaked Ladies and Blue Rodeo. The natural transition was into advertising, where he gained notoriety for directing famous ad campaigns for Coke, GM, Phillips, Roger's Communications, KFC and....actually there's far too many to and Pete already feels bad about not mentioning the others. In Canada, Pete is represented by Someplace Nice. One more thing – if you share an affinity for 70’s soft rock, Pete can be found at the Orbit Room in Toronto the last Thursday night of every month where a Steely Dan cover band plays the same songs over, and over, and over again.

David Tindale grew up in the Vancouver outdoors skateboarding and snowboarding. As competitive injuries took their toll he realized that professional snowboarding would not be his future. Design became the new creative outlet and a chance to stay connected to the sports and culture he loved.

Since then David has lived around the world working as a creative, brand and marketing lead on both the agency and client side where he launched a national retail chain, directed and shot a hundred or so ad campaigns, videos and catalogs.

Marketing trends come and go but storytelling creates true connection. Four years ago he focused his attention on the experiences he most enjoyed and began a career as full-time independent filmmaker. Since then he has directed, written and produced several award winning films and television productions while signing with commercial production companies in USA, Canada and Europe. David actively Directs commercials internationally while exploring his love for stories and subjects that resonate.

His extensive body of work for various clients includes Nike, Target, Burton Snowboards, Audi, Active 02, Airwaves, Mountain Dew, ESPN, Lululemon, American Eagle Outiftters, Puma and CBC. 

Jim Hosking is a British filmmaker living in Los Angeles. He started directing at MTV in New York. He is currently signed to Partizan films in Europe and Biscuit Filmworks in the USA and OPC in Canada.
Jim helped create the 118 118 TV campaign, including the Rocky commercial.
Jim is currently developing the feature film Micrometer, co-written with Toby Harvard.
