BriefLGBTQ+ travel for many is about safety, comfort and politics. This year, Oslo invited three people from countries where it is more problematic to be who they are, to take part in the Oslo Pride Parade. By experiencing Oslo and Pride through their eyes we could highlight how proud we are of our city and show that this is a safe city you can visit without having to limit yourself.For Kadir, who has never participated in a Pride Parade before, it was an emotional experience. In his hometown, the Parade was recently cancelled for the fourth year in a row. And Anna, who is a police officer, was very surprised to see that Norwegian police officers actually participating in the Parade. Their experiences were documented in a film that we spread through social media and gained a lot of support worldwide from both the LGBTQ+-community and other loving travelers.- 1.3 million views on Social Media, no paid media except minimal boosting on FB and YT. Over 80% of the views was from abroad.- 38120 reactions, comments and shares on FB.- The film was also shared by many of the large LGBTQ organizations and groups on Facebook, and was featured in numerous LGBTQ newsside around the world, placing Oslo on the map as a great destination for LGBTQ travels.
