| Problema | "We want people to get involved with our work because they understand the importance of what we do and because they know they play a central part in what and how we do it" This was the briefing by the Portuguese branch of Amnesty International. While we were going through the material Amnesty gave us, one finding made a lasting impression on all of us working this project: Everyone who had fallen victim of a Humans Right violation had felt that they had a better fighting chance to survive or overcome what was happening to them as soon as they learnt Amnesty knew about their situation and was fighting for them. Even before Amnesty could actually do something to help, they would feel immediately safer and more hopeful, just because they knew someone out there was telling the world their story. At the same time, we realized that this notion of hope and the ability to inspire it doesn't exist without all of us, we that sign petitions and letters and that, by doing so, are supporting Amnesty International's work and are leaving our definitive mark on a number of people's life. |
| Resultado | From now on, anyone who sign up with Amnesty Portugal signs forever the causes that Amnesty is fighting for. So, Amnesty will have the world bigger petition signatures database, in a near future. |
