História “Meltdown” opens on a scorched desert landscape. Suddenly, an ice cream cone tumbles from the sky, much to the surprise of a famished cobra, which immediately goes to town on this rare delicacy. His happiness soon turns to disappointment however, when he’s joined by another hungry snake. The two square off and hiss until they notice the rapidly melting cone. Letting their territorial instincts go by the wayside, the two gleefully indulge, lapping away until sharing causes their cobra hoods to sparkle magically. Before long, the two are rewarded for their good deeds with countless ice cream cones raining from the heavens.
Resultado Zune Arts is an opportunity for artists to explore themes like sharing and friendship in new ways. Since the program kicked off in 2006, 72andSunny has been continually surprised at how far these themes have been pushed—especially tonally. Unexpected twists include “Meltdown” taking the traditionally G-rated subject of sharing, and giving it a menacing, intense vibe.

Said Glenn Cole, Co-Founder/Creative Director, 72andSunny, “As Zune Arts heads into its second year, the program will continue its mission of fostering collaborations between artists in all mediums. The more artists involved, the merrier. We want Zune Arts to remain an invitation and keep evolving and growing. The only way to do that is with a constant stream of new ideas, voices and connections.”
