Legenda Poverty is modern
História To highlight these situations of misery, Amnesty launched its web campaign with a site. Amnesty asked web users for their participation and commitment in unveiling the visual and its claim: "To make poverty disappear, you have to see it first." The site invited web users to click on the pixels to reveal different situations of modern misery in the world. Each click coloured a pixel, adding a tiny piece of detail to the illustration consisting of 1 million parts to click. One million clicks were needed to reveal the complete poster. And each click, like a signature, was proof of the public's interest and commitment.
Filosofia With eBoy (pixel art artist), Amnesty created a poster of a city depicting dozens of situations of misery and their consequences, with violations of human rights everywhere.
Problema 963 millions people go to bed hungry every night. A billion live in shanty towns. Every minute a woman dies from pregnancy complications. In the 21st century, Poverty has never been more contemporary, more present. Because attacks against human rights create and perpetuate poverty, Amnesty wanted to take action. But how could we talk about a subject that isn't new but is still very current?
Resultado Very quickly, numerous blogs and sites took up the challenge and relayed the site. - 1 million hits on the site in 3 days - Increase the number of donations: 25%
