Music Video "Nag Champa" by Syny with Grand Prix of the Yach Film Festival 2019

Dark vision, moody colors and clouds of smoke everywhere – these are the most characteristic elements of the award-winning video clip for Syny. Written and directed by Sebastian Pańczyk, produced by studio Dobro and with visual effects created by Platige Image artists.

Smoke plays important visual role for Syny – not only at concerts and live performances. Even the lyrics of “Nag Champa” are dedicated to the smoke generator, so it could not be missing in the video as well. Smoke is present almost in every frame of the film and creates mysterious, slightly unreal atmosphere. Platige Image team was responsible for its simulation. Rafał Sadowy, Head of CG at Platige Image, recalls that another exciting part of the project was to show a nuclear explosion in the center of Warsaw.

The Yach Film Festival is one of the few in Europe and the only festival in Poland that is fully dedicated to the art of music video. Since early 90s, it has been rewarding the best video productions on Polish market. 285 clips were submitted to this year’s edition, including “Nag Champa”, which won the Grand Prix and award for editing.
