CRITICAL MASS WINS AT DIGIDAY WORKLIFE AWARDS

We’re proud to have been awarded Most Innovative Culture at the Digiday Worklife Awards, our third consecutive year being honored for our company culture by Digiday. Every year, the Digiday Worklife Awards recognize media and marketing’s top employers and the values that make them unique. This year they honored the companies that were able to rethink the very nature of work in 2020. We were shortlisted in 12 categories and are delighted to be recognized for our effectiveness, collaborative culture, embrace of social good, and more—all while working remotely.

Digiday awarded Critical Mass ‘Most Innovative Culture’ – with judges commenting:

“Critical Mass recognized that companies are at their most inventive when employees are prompted and encouraged to craft new ideas and try on new hats. Stagnation is the enemy of innovation.”
“In a year of unprecedented challenges, innovation was critical not only to success, but survival. Critical Mass took this reality to heart and wove innovation into the core DNA of its workplace culture.”
They called out our employee casting tool “Match” as well as our “OpenBook” program, a digital mentorship tool designed to connect recent graduates with pros at Critical Mass for one-on-one Q&As and portfolio reviews.

In addition to ‘Most Innovative Culture’ our newly promoted Chief Talent Officer Sara Anhorn was named HR Leader of the Year. As Digiday points out, “In her role at Critical Mass, Sara ensured that employees had all the resources they needed to flourish within changing times – all while providing aspiring media professionals with opportunities of their own. In tumultuous times, effective leaders provide everyone with the resources they need.”

So, what makes Critical Mass such a great place to be? The work? The people? The dogs? Yes to all three. But the root of who we are and how we work is our culture. We work hard to foster a culture that attracts open-minded, collaborative, passionate people who bring a diverse range of views to the organization who share in our agency’s values: Honest, Inspired, Driven, Purposeful, Real, and Equal.
