EACA announces new legal structure and promotes its director general Tamara Daltroff to CEO position

The European Association of Communications Agencies (EACA) has transitioned from a shareholder company to a non-profit organisation. Established in Oslo in 1959 and moved to Brussels in 1975, EACA has changed its legal structure this year. The change in the Belgian Code of companies and associations came into force in 2019 which enabled EACA to continue its commercial activities (such as the Effie Awards Europe for instance) by being non-profit at its core. This new structure will enable the association to increase the representativity of its members even further into the governance and the everyday activities of EACA for the years to come.

In light of this new structure, the EACA Director general Tamara Daltroff is promoted to CEO of EACA.

Says EACA’s president Christian de la Villehuchet: “Since her appointment in 2018, Tamara has done an amazing job in putting the EACA on the radar again. Thanks to her drive and great human values, the EACA is an influential force in the communication industry and is at the forefront of key factors such as action against climate change, our relationships with advertisers and our engagement with policymakers. On a personal basis, it is an absolute pleasure to work with a leader that makes things happen, that is highly reliable and that has created a real sense of belonging and community within this association.”
