That same year she wrote the well-received "Toca Mi Boca" campaign for Bacardi Rum. Bacardi's " Toca Mi Boca" song was aired in hundreds of radio stations; Caribbean and the US Hispanic Market.

As a tenacious leader she increased the budget of Kmart from 4M to 22M. For Kmart she created campaigns for Sesame Street winning The Alma Award for the portrayal of Latinos in a positive manner. Her Sesame Street clothing line television commercials with Mexican Child Star Andrea Lagunes brought a fresh and contemporary look to the company. For Bud Light, she co-wrote with multi talented actor John Leguizamo six television commercials. The campaign was designed as a series of short films humorously presenting every Latino stereotype. The language boundaries were embraced and these crossover commercials aired in the General Market during the Grammy's on national television.

Advil, Equal and KFC. At Bravo she created one of the most effective campaigns for Advil. Whitehall Robbins still uses the same creative strategy. With Linda de Jesus-Cutler, Maureen designed the creative campaign for the Latino Market for Paul Simon's Broadway Musical "The Capeman". She researched the story for two years and was an active member of the creative team during the creative process.
