At the age of 20, Akanksha started her career as the youngest ever Editor-in-chief for STUFF Magazine, in Singapore. where she was at the forefront of the Web2.0 conversation and helped organize Asia's first-ever podcamp.

In 2008, she moved to Dubai to head marketing for a loyalty start-up and two years later, amidst the region's economic crisis, founded Socialize to harness the untapped business potential of then-emerging social networks.

Project (Gender Diversity Study)

Drove a special project commissioned to study the gender diversity in senior management across the Tata group. Study involved talking to senior personnel of major Tata group companies and other prominent Indian companies. Thus, created an action plan and a set of recommendations for the Group Corporate Committee to increase diversity and value-add to employee welfare within the group.
