Alex Garbini
Senior Copywriter at Freelancer
Brasil
While wandering around Cannes, the AdForum team hit on a particular Brazilian artist… He was advertising for his own work, a hand-written placard in his hands.

Here are a few words from him:
“I am Alex, a Brazilian copywriter. I have been working in Advertising since 1999 in Sao Paulo. During this period I worked for different kinds of clients, especially retail and some public accounts. Then I came to live in Paris with my wife in October 2008. She is doing her academic studies at Sorbonne and I think this is a great opportunity for me to improve my career and my personal life, breathing and living the European Culture. Nowadays I am working as a freelancer for Mother Tongue (Official preferred translation partner to Cannes Lions 2009) and I've just arrived from Athens-Greece where I did a mobile marketing campaign for a Brazilian client.
I believe that every kind of communication requires thought and effort, it doesn’t matter how small or big the job is or who the audience might be. What you say and the way you say it is just as important as to whom you say it. Getting through this idea, my work covers all the media that is necessary to achieve its target. It includes the “traditional formats” as ads, billboards, Tv, radio, web and “outdoor actions” that can be seen in my Portfolio, as well as you could see during my Guerilla Marketing in Cannes.
A short story about myself: before becoming a Copywriter I graduated in Dentistry. But later on, I chose to change my career path because I believe this is the kind of work I am most talented at. Moreover, it fulfills my attitude, always facing new challenges to be better and better, either personally and professionally. So, I am looking for open positions in France and in another countries to develop my creative talent working inside other cultures, mixing my Brazilian way of thinking about advertising to yours. Because of this, I am looking forward to hearing good news from you soon. But the time is running out. Call me before the others.”
