Positions

President & CEO
Todd Grantham serves as President and CEO of DDB California, where he is responsible for leading the San Francisco office, as well as new and organic business growth.;Prior to his role at DDB, Grantham was Associate Partner and Director of Business Development at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners (GSP). In technology, Grantham helped lead GSP’s efforts for HP’s brand reinvention under HP Chief Executive Officer Carly Fiorina and its Global Enterprise business. He also had stints leading the Yahoo!, Adobe, Loudcloud and Zynga accounts. Both Loudcloud and Zynga are iconic for their disruptive effect on their markets.;In consumer packaged goods, Grantham led the Quaker Oats “Go humans go!” campaign. The brand initiative was a big departure from Quaker’s traditional product-by-product advertising approach and was very well-regarded and awarded in the industry.;Automotive is another of Grantham’s passions, including outside of the office. While at GSP, he led quite a few automotive accounts, among them Isuzu, Goodyear, Saturn, Hyundai and Chevrolet. He had the opportunity to help develop the Hyundai Assurance program after the financial collapse of 2008, and to rebrand and launch critical products such as the Volt for Chevrolet as GM emerged from bankruptcy.;Grantham has also had a range of management roles at GSP. In addition to being an Associate Partner, he was the co-Director of the Account Management department and most recently the Director of New Business. While running the Chevrolet account, Grantham was responsible for the construction of a 200+ person team and opening GSP’s first office outside of San Francisco in Detroit, where he served as Managing Director.
Group Account Director/Associate Partner
Todd hails from the often-frozen but always-contemporary city of Minneapolis. While at the University of Minnesota, he studied both aerospace engineering and acting and decided that advertising was the perfect blend of rocket science and Broadway. He joined GSP in 1996 and has overseen a wide range of accounts, including Yahoo!, Adobe, Lipton Iced Tea, Quaker Oats (for whom he launched the “Go Humans Go” campaign) and HP (for whom he led the global “Invent” campaign for their brand and enterprise business).Todd has also led more than his fair share of automotive accounts, including Isuzu, Saturn, Hyundai (including the award-winning “Think about it” campaign) and the global Chevrolet business. In fact, when GSP landed the Chevy business in 2010—the largest account in the agency’s history—GSP handed the reins to Todd. That meant, among other things, staffing a new team of more than 250 people.Todd relocated to Michigan in November 2011 to become the managing director of GSP Detroit. The opportunity to help Chevrolet develop into a global brand and to open and build the agency’s Detroit outpost into a full-service office was too much to pass up.Now back in San Francisco, Todd leads GSP’s new business efforts and our work with Adobe and Google. The Bay Area is also a hot spot for one of his other passions—amateur sports car racing. He’s excited to revive his hobby now that he’s back.
