With an online media spend as large as Verizon's, media outlets like to sometimes give a little back - as Added Value. We took ours in the form of production resources and together created dozens of videos. 50, in fact. All for less than the cost of one typical broadcast TV spot. |
Filosofia | When Verizon Wireless launched their 4G LTE network they had to increase awareness and gain share quickly. Before competitors flooded the market with misleading messages. The target? Everyone with a computer. Verizon serves over 70 billion online impressions a year…so if you’re not seeing a Verizon ad online, you’re just not paying attention. |
Problema | The issue was burnout. Nobody needs to sit through commercials these days, they have to want to. And with those 70 billion impressions to fill, seeing the same TV spot online is gonna get old fast. Our solution..? Online videos. Lots of ‘em. With an online media spend as large as Verizon's, media outlets like to sometimes give a little back - as Added Value. We took ours in the form of production resources…and together created dozens of videos. Each delivering the same Verizon message as the TV campaign, but did so in its own unique way. No one-size-fits-all approach for this carrier. |
Resultado | Did it work? Did it ever. The blogs exploded. Click-through rates soared. And each new video release got tons of buzz. With an increase in lift up to 400%! Three videos now rank in the top 10 most viewed videos of all time on Verizon’s YouTube channel. The best part? All 50-plus videos were created for less than the cost of making one typical broadcast TV commercial. |
