História Instagram recently added a new feature to Live allowing two users to share a livestream, splitting the phone screen into a top and a bottom half. Until now, the feature had only been used for casual conversation. Macy’s hacked the feature by turning it into a styling tool. During our live event, Live Looks, we invited fashion-forward influencers to join Macy’s livestream wearing an item from their wardrobe. Our Fashion Office style experts then matched the guests’ items with the latest spring fashion from Macy’s. If someone needed help styling their leather pants, viewers would see the pants on the bottom screen, while a model wearing the recommended shirt was on the top screen. The model and guest lined up their bodies using both screens, so each guest could see how the completed look could work with their style. The team also discussed ideas for accessorizing each complete look.
