Legenda The BAFTA's. They're quite highly regarded
História The ad opens with a jubilant Natascha McElhone (The Truman Show, Solaris, Ladies in Lavender) exiting the awards dinner clutching a gold BAFTA Award. As her agent drives her from the red carpet, Natascha bestows effusive praise on him for his support in helping her achieve such spectacular career success. Suddenly, the car swerves, veers off a bridge and a dramtic underwater escape ensues. Natascha reaches the surface of the water, only to dive back to the murky depths and re-enter the sinking car where her agent is trapped. When she triumphantly resurfaces, the viewer sees that, far from rescuing her friend, she returned to the sinking vehicle simply to collect her prized BAFTA Award. The film resolves with the endline 'The BAFTA's. They're quite highly regarded'.
Filosofia The commercial will run in 1800 cinemas in the three weeks leading up to the February 12th ceremony. The Film Awards will be broadcast the same evening on BBC ONE in the UK and on BBC America.
Problema AMV won the BAFTA assignment in 2004 and worked with the Academy to create a cinema trailer which could raise BAFTA's profile and publicise the 2005 Film Awards.
