Matthew Brink started his career in South Africa as a copywriter. After bouncing around a few agencies he settled at Lowe Bull in Johannesburg. During these years he created the iconic Axe “Get A Girlfriend” Campaign.
After achieving all of his career goals in South Africa he set off for the bright lights of New York City to work at BBDO New York.
Three years later he got an offer he couldn’t refuse and returned to South Africa to take up a joint Executive Creative Director position at TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris. He returned to BBDO New York in 2015.
Over the years he has created compelling work for clients such as Axe, BMW, AT&T, HP, Grey Goose, Bacardi, EA, HBO, FedEx and GE.
He has won a number of awards, including 24 Cannes Lions. He also features regularly at D&AD, Clios and One Show. Matthew has judged at Cannes, New York Festivals and D&AD.
