Philip Hunt

Philip Hunt

Aside from his role as Studio AKA's Creative Director, Philip's diverse body of Directing work on an eclectic range of animation projects also includes the multi-award winning short film AH POOK IS HERE - an interpretation of recordings by the late William S. Burroughs; which is included in both the Burroughs retrospective PORTS OF ENTRY.
Philip's most recent film is the BAFTA winning LOST AND FOUND, a half hour adaptation of the award-winning children's book by Oliver Jeffers. He is currently in development on his next project with AKA.

Marc Craste

MARC CRASTE has designed & directed many award-winning commercials including THE BIG WIN spot for the National Lottery and the huge LLOYDS TSB campaign - and now the newly-independent TSB campaign - at Studio AKA.
Marc also designed & directed three short films in the series PICA TOWERS at AKA that inspired his 12 min short film JOJO IN THE STARS which has won awards world-wide, including both the 2004 BAFTA for Best Animated Short Film & the 2005 Cartoon D'or!
Marc's most recent film at Studio aka is a half hour film entitled VARMINTS. You can find the book on AMAZON and the film on iTUNES UK He is currently in development on his next film.

Grant has a truly idiosyncratic approach. Alongside creating a myriad of striking TV spots he has won two D&AD Awards for Interaction design and followed his first short film WELCOME TO GLARINGLY with the unique PARK FOOT BALL - which in turn led to the amazing LOVESPORT shorts.
Grants amazing short film A MORNING STROLL is on general release now, and has won some major Awards including the BAFTA for SHORT FILM ANIMATION 2012, and the animation award at SUNDANCE. A MORNING STROLL was also nominated for the SHORT ANIMATED FILM OSCAR 2012!. You can buy it now on Vimeo VOD & iTunes.
Grant is currently in production on 'HEY DUGGEE' -STUDIO AKA's first original pre-school show for CBEEBIES & BBC WORLDWIDE.

Steve Small

Steve Small is a master craftsman & artist. In a career that has seen him create stunning animation for the Disney features "HERCULES" and "FANTASIA 2000" - not to mention creating the hugely successful "MR BEAN" animated series for Tiger Aspect & Richard Purdum Productions. Steve has directed and animated a huge range of commercials at AKA including TELE2, NICKTOONS, UKTV & ORANGE, GREEN FLAG & the utterly charming SING UP.

More recently, Steve has been crafting the new TSB characters and exploring the outer limits for Hyundai

Max co-directed with JAKOB SCHUH the acclaimed BAFTA & OSCAR nominated half hour adaptation of Julia Donaldson's THE GRUFFAL0, created by Magic Light Pictures & Studio Soi.

Max was also Assistant Director to Ben Bocquelet & Mic Graves on the First Season of the multiple award winning, international hit series THE AMAZING WORLD OF GUMBALL for Cartoon Network.

Most recently, Max co-directed with JAN LACHAUER on the BAFTA winning, Oscar Nominated & BBC1 commissioned adaptation of Julia Donaldson's ROOM ON THE BROOM, Also from Magic Light Pictures.

Kristian's films feature unconventional narratives and often use observational drawing as a means of communicating personal anecdote, communicating honestly without hiding imperfections or mistakes. His RCA M.A. graduation film 'RABBIT PUNCH' picked up an amazing response at festivals worldwide and his diversity of work has developed across a range of projects - marking him as an adept & unclassifiable director who can approach any problem with a fresh & unique perspective...

Kristian's most recent film is 'LET'S PLAY NOMAD X' - a three minute parody of a type of YouTube documentary film. In these on-line films a narrator records a running commentary and screen capture of themselves playing a video game thus rendering an interactive experience totally passive

Eamonn's films 'I'M FINE THANKS' & 'LEFT' have had a lot of attention on the festival circuit - winning awards all over. 'I'M FINE THANKS' was also nominated for a BAFTA in 2013. He's just getting started...
A graduate of the Royal College of Art animation MA program, Eamonn has worked on projects for Cartoon Network, The Irish Film Board & many others. He is represented by Studio AKA as a commercial director & designer.
Somehow he also found time to create a film segment in the portmanteau project GHOST STORIES made as part of the Late Night Work Club collective. Watch GHOST STORIES 'POST PERSONAL 

Dave Prosser

Dave Prosser

Dave is a BAFTA nominated animation director whose work is focused around a bold and playful design aesthetic which is strongly rooted in drawing. A graduate of the Royal College of Art, his thesis film MATTER FISHER won numerous international awards and was nominated for a BAFTA in 2011.
Alongside his recent short film MOUNTAIN, Dave also contributed the film segment I WILL MISS YOU to the portmanteau project GHOST STORIES created by the artists known as LATE NIGHT WORK CLUB - a rotating collective of animators who strive to make personal work outside of the commercial realm late into the night. David also contributes to part of MOTH collective.
