Ukrainian advertising agencies are struggling to survive as the war rages on. So the two biggest advertising and communications associations in Ukraine and Poland have joined forces to transform Ukraine’s top advertising festival into a fundraising drive for the Ukrainian advertising industry: Ukrainian Creative Stories (UCS).
The project will be part of the Positive Change block of categories within the 23rd Kyiv International Advertising Festival, with winners due to be announced on 14-15 June. Entry fees – alongside donations from those who wish to express their solidarity – will be used to establish a support fund for Ukrainian agencies.
The announcement of the winning work will be accompanied by a joint presentation of Ukrainian agencies to the international advertising community.
The co-organizers (the All-Ukrainian Advertising Coalition and SAR Marketing Communication Association) commented: “In peacetime, to apply for the Kyiv International Advertising Festival meant to compete and win. And now, in wartime, it means to support Ukraine's creative industry.”
Entry is of course free to Ukrainian agencies, but entry fees paid by international agencies will go towards the fund.
Entries are open until May 20 on the website creative-stories.com.ua
