Cox Communications is looking for a Director of Analytics Enablement who will be a core member of the Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE) reporting to the Executive Director of Analytics. This role will be instrumental in the long-term growth initiative of defining and building out advanced analytics capabilities. The Director is charged with supporting innovation within our Analytics CoE, developing opportunities in the whitespace, and contributing to vertical analytics teams as an analytics capabilities subject matter expert.
Lead advanced analytics efforts to produce value from Cox Communications’ unstructured and structured data assets utilizing methodologies from ML (machine learning), DP (deep learning), AI (artificial intelligence), and NLP (natural language processing)
Oversee efforts to devise capabilities to accelerate and scale Analytics CoE’s analytics offerings
Research and brainstorm with internal stakeholders to identify advanced analytics opportunities to advance data driven decision making, automation, help with knowledge discovery, gain insights from data, and streamline business processes
Lead a team of data scientists to design, implement, test, prototype, and deploy analytics applications
Work with senior leaders in development, assessment, improvement, and transfer of solutions to stakeholder teams as needed
Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations that explain advanced analytics concepts, technology, and inner workings of solutions to broader teams including non-technical audiences. Publish, as applicable, white papers and conference papers
Assist the Analytics CoE Leadership in evaluating new technologies, tools, data, and such to enable for new solutions/capabilities
Qualifications:7+ years of experience in analytics role in ML, AI, NLP, research, predictive analytics, business analytics or similar area4+ years of experience designing and managing analytical projectsStrong programming skills and ability to utilize a variety of data/analytic software/languages/tools; e.g., Spark (ML, Mllib, Spark SQL), R (caret, ggplot2), Python (pandas, numpy, scipy, scikit-learn), Scala, Java, C++, Hive, SQL, SAS, Tableau, etc.Experience developing enterprise grade analytics solutions and managing analytics solutions at every stage of the analytics lifecycle from ideation to productionStrong communication skills. The ability to successfully comprehend and communicate advanced analytics artifacts, business insights, and resulting implications to non-technical business partners. Ability to work in a diverse teamDeep understanding of data domains, models, and implications for analytics use in at least one industry including telecommunications, cable, finance, media, advertising, or similar Preferred:
Graduate degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Analytics, Engineering or closely related fieldExperience within telecommunications, cable industry, high tech, or consultingPractical experience applying advanced ML, DP, and AI approaches to mass transaction reduction and customer experience optimizationExperience in data visualization solutions and data visualization tools
