VCCP wins Campaign’s Agency of the Year & Campaign of the Year + IAB’s Agency of the Year.
This month saw VCCP Partnership awarded Internet Advertising Bureau’s (IAB) Creative Showcase Grand Prix to become Agency of the Year.
The agency scooped the award after receiving the most honours for outstanding digital campaigns throughout 2013, appearing in seven of the 12 IAB Creative Showcases for a range of work including O2’s Matchday app and Totaljobs ‘The Job Academy’.
VCCP Partnership were also awarded Best Creative Idea for their ‘Meerkat Tales’ work: a live reading and interactive Q&A from Aleksandr the Meerkat himself, both at Harrods and live on This Morning.
This win follows a year in which VCCP also picked up Campaign’s Advertising Agency of the Year and Campaign of the Year for O2’s ‘Be more dog’.
Campaign magazine said: ’2013 was VCCP’s year. There was a surprising new positioning for its founding client O2, a huge swathe of new-business wins, imaginative work in the digital space and more of the meerkats’.
For the Campaign of the Year category, Campaign wrote: ‘It has been a decent year for ads, but none of them can match the powerful idea behind this campaign, which is bright and brave.’
Campaign added: ‘Having started out with a staff of just the four founders – of whom Charles Vallance and Adrian Coleman still have hands-on roles – VCCP is now the biggest UK-owned agency.’
